Two new floors built above a 1905 theatre hall with 8-metre ceilings. A family home created between historic walls, reclaimed brick and new concrete — where a 360° view over Berlin becomes the backdrop for everyday life.
Residential Interior Architecture – 420 m2
What I solved here
- Designing the complete interior of a family home built across two new floors above a 1905 theatre hall — navigating the tension between heritage structure and contemporary living
- Creating privacy, intimacy and defined zones within vast open spaces — almost no walls, yet every family member has their place
- Combining original historic walls with new materials — concrete, wood and reclaimed brick sourced from within the same building
- Designing for completely different simultaneous uses — children’s bedrooms, a drum kit, a home office, a gym and open family living
- Making 360° rooftop views over Berlin the visual anchor of the entire interior concept

Working on something just as complex?
